The dealer for an issue!!

Kinja'd!!!

This time it’s for the suspension/driveability. Tonight was my first time driving the car in a while and it doesn’t drive right at all. It grabs every nook and crevice in the road and tries to rip the wheel out of your hand it finds imperfections that I didn’t know existed on local roads. It also gets a bad vibration at about 45-50 mph you can feel throughout the car. As far as I know my mom hasn’t hit anything. She actually mentioned something a couple weeks ago but ruled it down to the old highway surface.

This on top of what it needed to go back for anyway like the god awful wear on the driver’s seat and the creaking rear suspension.

This car doesn’t even have 30,000 miles on it yet.

Tires? Balance? Alignment?

Something along those lines I’d assume.

Could definitely be the tires. One of our Silverados at work had these symptoms, and it was the tires.

I almost wonder if you got a dud. These have gotten exceptionally good long term reviews I thought.

What tires does it have? That POS ‘11 Malibu I had did that grabbing every imperfection thing. As soon as I got rid of those garbage Goodyear Eagle LS2's, it went away.

I think as interiors have gotten better throughout the years, build quality has gotten worse, throughout a lot of brands. We are just supposed to accept more quality issues, because we got all the technology we asked for.

Given how many I see for sale used already, I have my doubts.

...Goodyear Eagle LS2s.

It didn’t do this until just recently though, I figure if it was tires we would’ve noticed symptoms a long time ago.

I thought the same and was all set to buy one until I started doing a little more research. Saw lots of issues with transmissions and low reliability scores relative to a Camry (which we got) and a Malibu.

I was disappointed because I really love how they look.

Maybe something is wonky with the suspension, causing the tires to wear oddly and grip the road awkwardly. In any case, I am familiar with the sensation of the road feeling like it’s ripping the steering wheel out of your hands. It’s scary.

If you let go of the wheel it literally dances back and forth in front of you. The M3 had a similar feeling when I initially bought it and it made me scared to drive it, I don’t know how my mom hasn’t said anything about it.

Did you get an alignment done when the new tires went on? I’ve heard that sort of thing is an alignment issue. May have been that not the tires.

It may only show up when the tread level gets lower. If you look at the reviews of the cheap LS2's on Tire Rack (there’s a cheap version of the tire, and a much more expensive version of the tire as well), you’ll find loads of similar complaints. They’re garbage tires.

No alignment was done, it was the tires. There were loads of similar complaints about the cheapie LS2's, they’re garbage tires.

Damn. It sucks that this thing has had so many issues when it’s so new.
